Registration Information

Tagaytay Highlands, Tagaytay

December 10, 2011 – Saturday 6am – 6pm

 

 

Gravity Games Asia is back for our fifth big race event in three years!  With your support, we could make this the best one yet! Below are details on the registration process for both racers and spectators.  Please take a moment to review these key points before registering!

 

Key Dates & Deadlines

  1. The registration process begins at 6pm, 11 November 2011 Saturday.
  2. All racers must complete the registration process on or before 11:59pm Wednesday, 7 December 2011 in order to become eligible to race.
  3. At the stroke of midnight, Thursday 8 December 2011, registration will be closed, regardless of whether we meet the desired number of 90 total competitors.
  4. Conversely, should we meet the required number of 90 total registered and paid competitors ahead of the stated deadline, registration will also be closed.

 

Racer Registration Process

  1. Racer Registration begins with the completion of this online pre-registration form, which will go live at 6pm on 11.11.11 (Manila local time). Your pre-registration is subject to eligibility verification.
  2. Once verified and deemed eligible, the pre-registrant will be notified by text and/or email.
  3. Eligible registrants will be provided a registration form and waiver to complete and sign.  The forms will be made available for you to download and print. Alternatively, you may pick up a registration form and waiver at Longboards Manila.
  4. The completed and signed registration form and waiver, along with the registration fee, must be delivered to Longboards Manila within the allowed time frame.
  5. Original signed registration forms and waivers that have been sent by mail will be accepted so long as it is received within the allowed time frame.

  1. Requirements and payment will not be accepted on race day.  Applicants must complete registration and submit payment before the deadline to be eligible.

 

Registration Fees

  1. Along with the signed registration form and waiver, payment of P850 per registrant must be remitted in order to become eligible.
  2. Payments may be made directly at Longboards Manila, or by bank deposit.
  3. Details on bank deposits or check payment info will be provided upon successful pre-registration.  If paying by check, please allow for the usual 3-business day clearing period when you send in the check.
  4. Registrants not in the Philippines during the allowed time frame will be given the option to pay via PayPal.  A small processing fee will be added.
  5. Requirements and payment will not be accepted on race day.  Applicants must complete registration and submit payment before the deadline to be eligible.

 

Minimum Age Requirements

  1. Racers must be at least 13 years old by December 10, 2011 to become eligible to race.
  2. All racers below the age of 18 years by December 10, 2011 must also:
  3. have at least one parent accomplish the parental consent portion of the waiver
  4. a photocopy of the signing parent’s ID.

We must receive these items, along with your signed registration form and payment, within the allowed time frame.

  1. Minors with legal guardians as signatories must get in touch with Gravity Games Asia to discuss additional proof of guardianship requirements.
  2. These requirements are strictly enforced, and minors without these requirements will simply not be allowed to participate.  There will be no exceptions to this.

 

Refunds, Withdrawals, and Forfeiture

  1. Once a registrant completes the registration process, s/he may, for any reason, choose to withdraw from the race for a full refund as long as such withdrawal is communicated to, and confirmed by, a Gravity Games Crew member within 24 hours of submission of all payments and requirements.
  2. Should a registrant fail to show up at the event at the designated time, s/he forfeits his chance to compete.  Refunds will not be given.
  3. Should a registrant choose to forfeit from competition while already at the event, refunds will not be given.

 

Spectators

  1. Spectators are of course welcome to attend the event, but because Tagaytay Highlands is a privately owned, members-only venue, we must also pre-register all spectators and clear them with Tagaytay Highlands security.
  2. Spectators watch for free, but do NOT have access to the racetrack on a longboard or any gravity-propelled ride.
  3. The list of pre-registered spectators will be printed and provided to Tagaytay Highlands security on 9 December 2011.

  5. Anybody absent from this list will not be allowed entry by Tagaytay Highlands security.  Tagaytay Highlands security reserves the right to require identification of anybody upon entry into Tagaytay Highlands premises.
  6. We ask for your patience and understanding with this matter, as Tagaytay Highlands has been very generous in allowing us to return this year to make this event a reality.

 

Ineligibility

  1. Gravity Games Asia, together with Tagaytay Highlands, retains the right to have final approval over ALL registrants, as well as ALL spectators.  Those deemed ineligible may not be allowed entry onto Tagaytay Highlands premises, and will be notified directly, shortly upon our receipt of their pre-registration entries.
  2. If you are among those that have been deemed both ineligible AND not allowed entry onto the Tagaytay Highlands premises, you will be notified directly, shortly upon receipt of your pre-registration.  We ask that you respect this decision by Gravity Games Asia as well as Tagaytay Highlands Management.
